Admiral's Academy is part of Phase One of exciting changes to our student transportation services. To ensure the efficient and effective delivery of student transportation throughout the province, all families of our school will be required to register their student(s) for a seat on the school bus starting in the 2026-27 school year.
Registration for Phase One schools will begin on Tuesday, May 19th, 2026. and will remain open until June 15th. Complete information, including registration documents, will be available on NLSchools Student Transportation on Tuesday. Please note, not registering your child before the deadline may impact on seat availability for the beginning of the school year.
This will clearly outline the daily bus passenger lists and stops for staff. The registration process will allow families more flexibility to manage shared custody arrangements and alternate bus stops within their school’s catchment for childcare purposes. As a result, there will no longer be a need for a courtesy seating process for schools to manage.
While families can register for the whole year in advance, adjustments and changes can be requested at any time through your Parent Portal account for;
● New school enrolments;
● Address changes;
● Changes in custody agreements; and,
● Registered childcare changes.
Families will be able to sign up for notifications to see when and where their student boards and disembarks the bus and to receive regular notifications through a smartphone application. These features will give families peace of mind and provide ease of access for student information.
Resources on Student Transportation Safety have been developed by the District. They are available online and will be viewed and discussed in the classroom, early in the school year, as well as communicated to parents.
